Are CMMC Assessment Results Made Public?

The public will not have access to a listing of defense industrial base companies that have completed their CMMC self-assessments or received CMMC certificates. Such information is available to the Department officers leading procurement activities. A company can view their own scores and status in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS). Subcontractors may voluntarily share their CMMC Status to facilitate teaming arrangements.

Assessment Results Are Not Public

Your CMMC assessment results, scores, and certification status are not publicly accessible. This protects sensitive information about your organization's security posture.

Who Can See Your Results

  • Your organization: Full access via SPRS
  • DoD contracting officers: Can verify CMMC status during procurement
  • Your prime contractor: Only if you voluntarily share (recommended for teaming)
  • General public: No access

Voluntary Sharing for Business

While results aren't public, the DoD encourages voluntary sharing between primes and subs to facilitate teaming on contracts. You can print a verification from SPRS to share with potential primes. This is increasingly becoming a competitive advantage — organizations with verified CMMC status are preferred teaming partners.
